EP Ablation System
The Cardima EP Ablation System* incorporates unique technology based on years of research, development, and clinical applications.
The coiled electrodes integrated into the REVELATION® T-Flex catheter are at the core of the transmural lesions created by the Cardima system. They deliver radiofrequency (RF) energy evenly and effectively, achieving excellent results with each application. No other ablation technology can replicate the deep, continuous, linear lesions produced by the REVELATION T-Flex.
Between each of the 8 electrodes is a thermocouple that provides direct temperature feedback from the tissue to the Energy Management Device (EMD). The EMD modulates the RF energy to each individual electrode based on temperature to create optimal lesion formation.

REVELATION® T-Flex
The Cardima REVELATION® T-Flex is a linear ablation device that uses radiofrequency to create cardiac tissue ablation. This approach is similar to the Cox Surgical Maze, but is much less invasive and can be performed without open-heart surgery. Therefore, there is less risk of complication and a shorter recovery time. Patented technology ablates tissue resulting in thin, continuous, curvilinear lesions:
- Creates excellent tissue contact with coiled flexible electrodes
- Thin lesions result in less myocardial tissue damage
- Thermocouple technology senses tissue temperature
- Atraumatic platinum tip coil for added patient safety
- Enhanced flexibility and handling with tapered core wire
